For the Curiosity assignment, I explored smoke simulations in Houdini, focusing on the interaction between fluid dynamics and deforming geometry. The smoke was advected using velocity fields derived from the underlying, shifting forms, resulting in an intricate yet controlled motion. To enhance the effect, I designed an organic outer structure inspired by the wild Hexcore from Arcane Season 2, reinforcing the sense of dynamic energy within a refined framework.
The final aesthetic aimed for an elegant, minimalistic presentation, evoking the atmosphere of a modern museum exhibit. The project was fully realized in Houdini, rendered with Karma, and composited in After Effects.
